Stephen’s work focuses on the human figure. In 2016, after a decade of studying and teaching in Europe he returned to the United States upon the invitation of The Florence Academy of Art to teach and paint at their U.S. branch in Jersey City, NJ where he is currently the Director of the Anatomy and Ecorche programs as well as continuing to teach drawing and painting in the core program.
Stephen has given drawing and painting workshops and demos throughout the United States and Europe including the Long Island Academy of Art in New York, the Art Florida Academy in Miami, and at all three campuses of the Florence Academy of art in Sweden, Italy and America.
His work has been featured in numerous publications including 'Lessons in Classical Drawing' by Juliette Aristides. He was awarded first place in the Imaginative Realism category of the 2014-15 ARC salon as well as being awarded a purchase prize for his painting When I Was Young. That painting was featured on the cover of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine in which he was profiled.
Stephen’s work has exhibited and been collected in the US, Europe and China.
